Portal 7 is a one-of-a-kind artisan cushion, sewn and assembled entirely by hand in Los Angeles as part of the Portal Pillow series by House of Millo. Designed to activate space through texture, color, and myth, this piece blends antique violet hues with a rose-gold central appliqué and layered spiral suede framing.
The front center features a golden-green cherub tapestry bordered by soft spiral suede in muted plum. Velvet-style appliqué elements spiral around the centerpiece, creating visual dimension and symbolic motion. Hand-applied golden trims and embroidery threads accent the seams. The backing is a plush jacquard-style woven fabric in matte gold, lined with velvety threadwork in subtle linear patterns.
A decorative faux-fur trim in deep espresso brown surrounds the entire form, bringing warmth and weight. Each material — from rayon and polyester to cotton blends and gold-thread trims — is carefully selected to carry both texture and tone.
