About Me

Hi, my name is Begum.
Since I was young, I always felt tuned into a realm that wasn’t quite material. My thoughts were always busy trying to differentiate which reality is real, to be able to manage how I feel about things. First writing, then music, then design not only started to soothe my existential crisis that began at early ages, but also started to become the very meaning of life to me. And through my art, I became Buel.
After I moved to the U.S. from Turkey, I began working on my debut album and building the whole world I wanted to be in. But before I could release it, Buel Millo began as a fashion brand. It was born from frequency I sensed that made me, me - an urge to shape not just how we dress, but how we feel. Before Buel Millo became physical, it lived in me for years. First as a child sketching future selves, then as a student of psychology decoding human behavior, then as a musician mapping emotion into sound. Every thread of this work connects: from evolutionary theory to fabric draping, from cognitive patterns to pattern making, from stage presence to silhouette.
I studied psychology with a focus on evolutionary behavior and psychoanalytic frameworks. While writing my thoughts down, wondered how one day it all would come together as I made music in the meantime. Then while building my debut album I worked as a neurodivergent specialist in behavioral therapy. I never chose one lane because I couldn’t and maybe I didn’t have to.
As I began to develop my own framework of ideas, I started recording my monologues and writings that would eventually shape Millo’s Plane: a place where my research transmissions, insights, curiosity, emotions unfold through writing, visuals, and sound. I realized it was no different than what Plato suggested: an idea world where all blueprints come from. Millo’s Plane became my astral city, my unseen world, brought into form.
With all that in mind, I launched my fashion line, Buel Millo as a frequency brand experiment. My first design I have fully hand sewn myself (since I didn't yet know how to use a sewing machine), for an exhibition honoring Black History Month, won an award. With the motivation, I expanded my vision with House of Millo - a home and space concept rooted in the same frequency as my fashion and art. A place to live inside the vibration and intention.
I spent years studying numerology, consciousness theories, symbolic structures, and what I call dimensional design. So the pieces you’ll find here aren’t made to follow trends, they’re made to signal shifts with intention. Every design, article, and object is a node in a larger blueprint not just art, design, or theory. This is the dimensional architecture of me becoming.
In Millo’s Plane section you find here, the articles are the prelude to my upcoming book, The City, in which I explore how to build your own astral blueprint, a city of consciousness that becomes the foundation for all creators, like me, wanting to do many things all at once!
